Guidelines for:

The Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association I, Inc.
Nursing Education Scholarship

1. A recipient must be a current member of the BHSN Alumnae Association I, Inc.
2. Scholarships are awarded only for degrees in nursing.
3. The amount and number of scholarships to be awarded each year is to be decided by the board of the BHSN Alumnae Association I, Inc.
4. Scholarship money will be awarded upon:
   • Proof of successful completion of the course (grade of C or better) by providing an official sealed or electronic transcript.
   • Submission of university/college paid billing statement.
5. Documentation of the amount of other scholarships, grants, and/or company reimbursement for the course being taken must be provided.
6. Applications for the Nursing Education Scholarship must be submitted from January 15th through March 15th.
7. Scholarships are awarded at the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association I, Inc. Annual April Meeting/Banquet.
8. Eligible courses are those completed during the past year from the previous Annual April Meeting/Banquet to the current Annual April Meeting/Banquet.
9. Scholarships will be based on financial need and professional goals as presented in the application paragraph.
